Why do I require a referral from my vet prior to animal physiotherapy treatment?It is a legal requirement to seek your Veterinarian's consent prior to physiotherapy assessment and treatment of your animal. The Dales Animal Physiotherapy believes that collaborative interdisciplinary working enables the best care and optimal management for your animal. Working with your Veterinarian enables us to have the most accurate information about your animal and their physiotherapy needs. Referral forms must be fully completed and received prior to your appointment.

How do I obtain my Veterinarian's consent to Physiotherapy treatment?Please contact The Dales Animal Physiotherapy via email or our contact form. With your consent, The Dales Animal Physiotherapy will contact your Veterinarian to seek their consent to assess and treat your animal. We will ask your Veterinarian to complete our referral form. Alternatively, please speak to your Veterinarian and ask them to complete The Dales Animal Physiotherapy referral form.

How long does an appointment last?Our appointment lasts 1 hour. All appointments are charged at our hourly rate. If you feel your animal needs a longer appointment please feel free to discuss when you get in contact.

Where shall treatment take place?The Dales Animal Physiotherapy operates a mobile service. This means we will arrange an appointment to assess and treat your animal in the comfort of their regular surroundings. Please advise us of the location of the yard if different to your home address.

What if I can no longer make my appointment?We understand that sometimes you may need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Please contact The Dales Animal Physiotherapy as soon as possible to avoid cancellation charges below. Cancellation charges: Appointments cancelled or rescheduled more than 48 hours before the appointment date and time will not be charged. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled between 24 hours and up to 48 hours before the appointment will be charged at 50% of the appointment cost. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours to the agreed time will be charged in full. Any mileage completed will also be charged.

What are the payment terms?Payments is required in full at the time of your appointment. Payment can be made by cheque, cash or card. Should you prefer to pay by means of BACS payment, please check with myself at time of booking. Appointments are competitively charged at £65 per hour appointment plus 45p per mile mileage cost from our Leeds base. Physiotherapy assessment and treatment is covered by most insurance companies. However, please check with your insurance provider and check your individual policy. Please confirm with your insurance provider prior to booking your appointment, otherwise payment will be chargeable to you in full.
