Physiotherapy appointment costs

Initial assessment: (£65 per hour + call out fee)

Includes:

Prior to treatment – gaining consent from your Vet
In depth initial assessment
Individualised treatment plan
Physiotherapy care plan
Where required, liaising with other veterinary healthcare professionals or completing written documentation and veterinary reports

Follow up appointment ( £65 per hour + call out fee)

Includes:

Follow up assessment
Review of individualised treatment plan
Follow up plan
Physiotherapy care plan
Where required, liaising with other veterinary healthcare professionals or completing written documentation and veterinary reports

Treatments

The Dales Animal Physiotherapy will work with your Veterinarian and animal to offer the most effective and appropriate evidence-based treatments.

Treatments may include

Soft tissue mobilisation, trigger point deactivation and myofascial release
Joint mobilisation
Movement rehabilitation including range of movement, strengthening, stretching, balance and proprioceptive exercises
Electrotherapy ( Including: NMES, PEMF, TENS, 3B laser therapy)
Home exercise programme
Professional advice and owner education

Additional treatments may include:

Custom Carpus or Tarsus orthotic splints (Grade 1-3) ( Additional cost per splint)
Walkin' Wheels wheelchair assessment and fitting ( Additional cost for Walkin' Wheels frame, accessories and fitting appointment)
Referral to a local hydrotherapy/underwater treadmill centre (when appropriate)

Call Out Fee

A travel fee is added from Grassington to the assessment cost per session

Zone 1: No additional travel charge; covers 0-10 miles,

Zone 2: £ 7.50 cost covers areas within 10 - 15 miles,

Zone 3: £10.00 covers areas within 15 - 20 miles,

Zone 4: £15.00 covers areas within a 20- 30 mile radius

For postcodes over 30 miles from Grassington, please contact for an individual call out quote.

Zone 2: Includes Settle, Rathmell, Darley, Blubberhouses, Ilkley, Keighley, Glusburn, Cononley, Steeton, Silsden, Cowling and Lothersdale.

Zone 3: Includes Otley, Guiseley, Baildon, Ripon, Hawes, Leyburn, Masham, Harrogate and Ripley.

Zone 4: Includes Farsley, Horsforth, Calverley, Cookridge, Bramhope, Roundhay, Halifax, Brighouse, Batley, Morley, Churwell, Tingley, Armley, Boston Spa, Knaresborough, Wetherby, Bedale and Cotterdale.
